The lower the white line, the more light the lens blocks. The higher the line, the more light it lets through.

Light filtering with virtually no color distortion. The lens strongly reduces violet light around 410 nm, then rapidly becomes highly transparent across the rest of the visible spectrum. Best when maintaining natural color and clarity is the priority.
