Krypton UV 606
Red · Near-Infrared · UVA · 311nm Narrowband UVB | Compact Full-Spectrum System
The Krypton line was built around one question: what does a serious full-spectrum light system actually require? Not bigger wattage claims — the right architecture: COB technology at the center, Philips UV bulbs, Meanwell industrial drivers, and independent control over every spectrum. The Krypton UV 606 is that architecture in its compact form. Four spectrums, one modular unit, patent granted — the full Krypton design standard at half the footprint.
The same measured COB at the center
Every Krypton runs COB — Chip-on-Board — at its core: chips bonded directly to a substrate, no housings, no gaps, no scatter. The 606's 200W COB module is the exact chip Light Labs International, an independent lab, measured at 138.39 mW/cm² at 6 inches and 67.22 mW/cm² at 12 inches — the same module in our Firewave and the Krypton 1612. Around it, 64 × 3W LEDs extend coverage and let you run red and NIR without the COB's full intensity. Those figures are measurements, not usage advice: sessions belong at 12–24 inches, where output stays effective and electromagnetic exposure drops away.
What each spectrum does
630nm · 670nm Red · 830nm Near-Infrared. Matched to the absorption peaks of cytochrome c oxidase, the mitochondrial enzyme at the center of photobiomodulation research. 630nm and 670nm are absorbed in the dermis and studied for their interaction with fibroblast activity; 830nm penetrates several centimeters into muscle, joint, and connective tissue.
320–400nm UVA (peak 365/370nm). Present year-round in natural sunlight. Penetrates deeper into the dermis than UVB, reaching the vascular layer, and studied extensively for its interaction with skin cells, melanin biology, and the circadian system.
311nm Narrowband UVB. All UVB can damage DNA — that's true of sunlight too, and it's the honest starting point for any UV conversation. Broadband UVB spans the whole 280–315nm range, including the wavelengths that do the most damage for the least benefit. Narrowband is the answer researchers arrived at after decades of work: isolate the single wavelength — 311nm — where the intended biological effect is strongest and the mutation rate in skin cells is lowest, and deliver only that. Less of the spectrum, less of the damage, same effect. That's why clinical phototherapy standardized on 311nm, and it's the only UVB the 606 emits.
Philips bulbs + Meanwell drivers — and why we don't make our own
Every UV bulb in the Krypton line comes from Philips, the Dutch company that has manufactured phototherapy lamps for decades — imported from their production in Poland. The 606 runs two PL-L 36W/01/4P UVB tubes and two PL-L 18W/10/4P UVA tubes — the same bulbs as the 1612, at half the count for the smaller footprint. The reason is spectral consistency: a tube that says 311nm delivers 311nm, this tube and every replacement.
We could manufacture our own bulbs for a fraction of the cost. We don't. Our founder Kris grew up under Philips tubes — they were the bulbs in the clinical narrowband UVB protocol he went through for his vitiligo as a kid — and his rule hasn't changed: he won't put a component in an EMR-TEK device that he wouldn't stand under himself.
Meanwell industrial-grade drivers are standard across the entire Krypton line — 0% flicker, magnetic field down to undetectable, not an upgrade you pay extra for. Where a specialist already makes the best component, we buy it rather than build a cheaper one.
Independent control. Modular by design.
Red/NIR, UVA, and UVB each run under independent control — one spectrum at a time, stacked, or all at once. And the 606 connects with other Krypton units: run it alone for targeted work, pair it with a 1612 for targeted-plus-full-body coverage, or build out a dedicated light space over time. If you're deciding between the two: the 1612 is the full-body foundation; the 606 is the same architecture for targeted, smaller-area sessions — and the modular design means choosing one doesn't close the door on the other.
Drivers: Meanwell industrial-grade · 0% flicker · magnetic field undetectable
Modes: LED / COB / UVA / UVB — independent or combined
Modular — connects with other EMR-TEK Krypton units
Dimensions: 1.96 ft × 1.44 ft × 0.24 ft · Weight: 9.8 kg (21.6 lbs)
Region-specific electrical build — each Krypton ships configured for your region's electrical standard (110V or 220V) · pulley mounting system included
Patent granted · Warranty: 2 years
Does it work internationally?
Yes — differently than our panels. The panels carry a built-in voltage converter; the Kryptons don't, because the Philips bulbs demand exact electrical specifications. Instead, we build each unit for its destination: order from your region and your Krypton arrives matched to your grid. Nothing to configure, no adapter to buy.
How to use your light
Red/NIR mode: start with 5 minutes on LED only and build to 20 minutes per session; add COB for deeper intensity once you've adapted. Facial use: LED mode only, 18–24 inches. Position 12–24 inches from your target. Up to 5 sessions per week.
UVA & UVB mode: start at 1 minute and increase gradually to a maximum of 5 minutes — with UV, your body doesn't need long sessions. Blackout goggles required. If you notice any redness afterward, you've exceeded your time — shorten your next session.

Testimonials
My fire dragon and blue light blocking glasses arrived in just a couple days. Love my machine, it has become a daily non negotiable especially living in Canada where the winters are so dark.
— Matt Ayuen
We ordered a firestorm in Dec 24, and WOW what an amazing machine. I suffer with an autoimmune thyroid issue called hashimotos (it lowers my testosterone levels and therefore my general energy levels). Since using this machine my Test levels have returned to normal and I feel like a new man. We have now ordered a second machine (the inferno) to cover the rest of the body. I highly highly recommend for autoimmune treatment. Thanks

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes the Krypton different?
A: COB chip-on-board architecture across the entire Krypton line — not the SMD diodes most panels run. COB delivers 1,400 mW/cm² at panel face vs. ~200 from standard SMD. Mean Well industrial-grade drivers, 0% flicker — the same standard used in medical and industrial equipment. Wavelengths chosen for the cytochrome c oxidase absorption peaks (630nm, 670nm, 830nm) instead of the commodity 660/850 most panels run.
The full-spectrum UV models (Krypton 606, Krypton 1612) add UVA and 311nm narrowband UVB through genuine Philips PL-L bulbs manufactured in the Netherlands — the same bulbs every major phototherapy study has run on since the 1980s. The Krypton 606 is IEC 62471 photobiologically tested by LightLab International — the only UV system in the category with that certification.
Designed by Kris Sweeting, founder of EMR-TEK. He grew up using 311nm narrowband UVB protocols and built EMR-TEK to bring industrial-grade light therapy to home use. Every device he's made, he's used on himself first.
Do I have to use goggles with my lamp?
A: Yes — every session, no exception. The Krypton emits UVA, 311nm narrowband UVB, AND 830nm near-infrared (invisible to the eye but still reaches the retina). All three require eye protection. The included blackout goggles are rated for the full UV + NIR spectrum the Krypton produces — not optional, not interchangeable with regular tanning eyewear.
Start with red/NIR only on early sessions. Add UV gradually with shorter exposure times until you've built up tolerance. Full protocol guidance is on the product page.
What's your return policy?
A: 30 days from delivery, unused and in original packaging. If the device has been powered on or the box has been opened past inspection, it's not returnable. However, message us and we will work with you on your return. Email info@emr-tek.com with your order number to start a return. Every device also ships with a manufacturer's warranty — separate from returns, covers defects.
What is the warranty?
3 years on flagship panels (Ultron, Firehawk)
2 years on Kryptons and standard red light panels
1 year on the Eterno Mask and Firefly
How long will it take to get my order?
A: Fast. US orders placed before 2 PM ship the same day. Delivery is 2-5 business days to the US and Canada. 5-10 business days internationally. Ships from our Europe warehouse with tracking sent at dispatch. Free shipping on all orders over $145.
Does the Krypton emit EMFs?
A: Effectively zero. Krypton uses Mean Well industrial-grade drivers — the same standard used in medical equipment — eliminating the electromagnetic interference and voltage instability cheaper drivers produce. Push a trifield meter against the panel and it stays at zero. The Philips PL-L UV bulbs are radio-frequency stable, not the noisy generic UV tubes most panels rely on.
