The Firewave PRO keeps the Firewave's 200W COB (Chip-on-Board) core — chips bonded directly to a substrate, no housings, no gaps, no scatter — and builds outward from it: 28 × 3W diodes around the COB instead of the Firewave's 12, for 284W total output and a wider lit area. The larger array is why the PRO covers more of you per session. Underneath, 350W-rated Meanwell industrial-grade drivers — the reason the chassis is slightly larger is that it houses them.

What the Meanwell drivers change: flicker drops from the standard Firewave's independently tested 3.2% to 0%, with no detectable magnetic field and stable output with headroom to spare — a 350W driver running a 284W panel is never working at its limit. No AC-powered device — anything that plugs into a wall outlet — can fully eliminate an electric field, but at 12 inches, inside our recommended session range, it drops below detectable levels. And because irradiance stays strong at distance, your whole session happens at 12–24 inches — full output, from outside the fields rather than inside them.

The wavelengths: cytochrome c oxidase, the mitochondrial enzyme at the center of photobiomodulation research, has absorption peaks near 630nm, 670nm, and 830nm — so those are the PRO's three. 630nm works in the dermis (fibroblast activity, collagen production), 670nm reaches slightly deeper, and 830nm near-infrared penetrates centimeters into muscle, joint, and connective tissue. 830nm is invisible to the eye — wear the included blackout goggles every session.

Measured, not estimated: the PRO's COB is the same 200W chip that powers our Inferno, which Light Labs International, an independent lab, measured at 138.39 mW/cm² at 6 inches and 67.22 mW/cm² at 12 inches — so the PRO's core output matches those figures, with the expanded diode array widening the coverage around it. And you don't have to take the numbers on faith: the second video in the gallery above is Robert Hunt, author of The Blue Light Diet, measuring the Firewave PRO itself with his own spectrometer.
