COB in a compact form factor

COB is what the PRO in the name means: Chip-on-Board — chips bonded directly to a substrate, no housings, no gaps, no scatter, for concentrated, uniform output. The Mini PRO runs a 72W COB module alongside 52 × 3W LEDs — a smaller chip than the 200W module in the 606 and 1612, sized honestly for its footprint and use case. Its home ground is targeted sessions — torso, limbs, face, specific areas — from a device that sets up in seconds on any flat surface. But like our larger panels, it reaches further than its size suggests: sit in meditation pose 12 inches from the panel, COB at sternum height, and many people — especially smaller frames — get full-body coverage from this desk-sized unit. The wavelengths

630nm · 670nm Red · 830nm Near-Infrared. Matched to the absorption peaks of cytochrome c oxidase, the mitochondrial enzyme at the center of photobiomodulation research. 630nm and 670nm are absorbed in the dermis and studied for their interaction with fibroblast activity; 830nm penetrates several centimeters into muscle, joint, and connective tissue.

UVA + 311nm Narrowband UVB. Two 9W Philips tubes — one broadband UVA, one 311nm narrowband UVB. The same UV spectrums as our full-size Kryptons, at the scale this footprint supports: the 606 and 1612 run two and four tubes per spectrum at higher wattage; the Mini PRO runs one of each. And the UVB is the real thing — 311nm narrowband, the wavelength decades of phototherapy research settled on because it delivers the intended biological effect with the least DNA damage of the UVB range. Independent mode control lets you run UV separately from red/NIR, or stack them.

Philips bulbs + Meanwell drivers

Every UV bulb in every Krypton comes from Philips, the Dutch company that has manufactured phototherapy lamps for decades — imported from their production in Poland, the same manufacturer trusted in clinical phototherapy settings worldwide, driven by electronic ballasts that cut the flicker fluorescent tubes otherwise produce. Our founder Kris grew up under Philips tubes — they were the bulbs in the clinical narrowband UVB protocol he went through for his vitiligo as a kid — and his rule hasn't changed: he won't put a component in an EMR-TEK device that he wouldn't stand under himself.

Meanwell industrial-grade drivers — 0% flicker, magnetic field down to undetectable, the same power infrastructure as our largest systems. For a device you'll use multiple sessions a week, driver quality isn't a detail.

Foldable stand. Any setup.

The Mini PRO ships with a foldable, angle-adjustable stand: desk, floor, propped against a wall. You set the angle and height — no wall mount, no dedicated space. It works in whatever space you have, and the built-in timer runs 0 to 30 minutes.

Does it work internationally?

Yes — differently than our panels. The panels carry a built-in voltage converter; the Kryptons don't, because the Philips bulbs demand exact electrical specifications. Instead, we build each unit for its destination: order from your region and your Krypton arrives matched to your grid. Nothing to configure, no adapter to buy.

How to use your light

Red/NIR mode: start with 5 minutes on LED only and build to 20 minutes per session; add COB once you've adapted. Facial use: LED mode only, 18–24 inches. Position 12–24 inches from your target. Up to 5 sessions per week.

UV mode: start at 1 minute and increase gradually to a maximum of 5 minutes — with UV, your body doesn't need long sessions. Eye protection required. If you notice any redness afterward, you've exceeded your time — shorten your next session.

Important safety information

We classify this device honestly, because you should know exactly what you're operating. The Krypton Mini PRO is a high-intensity ultraviolet (UV) light system classified under IEC 62471 as Risk Group 3 (High Risk) — it emits levels of optical radiation that may be hazardous without proper precautions. Treat it with the respect you'd give the midday sun: avoid direct eye exposure at all times, wear appropriate UV-blocking protective eyewear, follow the recommended exposure times and distances, and use only as directed. Misuse may result in skin or eye injury. By using this product, you acknowledge and accept these risks and agree to follow all safety guidelines provided. Do not use while sleeping. Indoor use only.
