At just three years old, he was diagnosed with vitiligo — a condition that causes the skin to lose its natural pigment.
He was told to avoid sunlight at all costs.
Curtains were drawn. Sunscreen became armor and something as natural as light became something to fear.
But the more he stayed away from the sun, the worse he felt. His confidence faded. His world dimmed.
What once gave him joy became the thing he missed most.

A Journey for Answers

By the age of nine, Kris and his family had tried everything.
Desperate for hope, they left Canada and flew to Germany — where they met a pioneering researcher (Dr. Schallreute) who saw light differently.
She believed light wasn’t the enemy — it was part of the solution.
For the first time, Kris learned that light could be used with precision, balance, and purpose. It wasn’t about avoidance; it was about understanding.
Through guided light exposure and daily consistency, he began to see and feel change. The freckles returned. Color came back. And with it, his confidence.
The light that had once frightened him became the very thing that helped him heal.
