Firestorm — Compact Five-COB Red & Near-Infrared Panel
630nm · 670nm · 830nm
The Firestorm is the most concentrated panel we make: five 200W COB modules — 1,060W — packed into a panel roughly 1.5 feet square, weighing just 7.5kg. Most of our devices carry one COB; the Firestorm carries five, shoulder to shoulder. That tight arrangement is the whole story of this device — including why its recommended session distance is farther than anything else we sell.
Five lab-measured modules — in our tightest arrangement
Each of the five COB (Chip-on-Board) modules is our 200W chip — 64 diodes bonded directly to a substrate, no housings, no gaps, no scatter — the same chip Light Labs International, an independent lab, measured at 138.39 mW/cm² at 6 inches and 67.22 mW/cm² at 12 inches. The Firestorm clusters five of them tighter than any panel in our lineup, tighter even than the Inferno — so their output overlaps, and the combined irradiance runs higher than our full-body systems deliver. Five measured emitters, one dense field of light.
So powerful, we move you back
Every other panel we make carries a 12-inch minimum. The Firestorm's is 24 inches — not despite its power, because of it. At 24 inches you're still receiving a strong, effective dose of light from the overlapping COBs, and you're well outside the panel's electromagnetic fields, which are below detectable levels at that distance. More output, more distance, same honest physics: sit outside the fields, not inside them.
On flicker, the honest number: the Firestorm runs our long-serving driver design, independently measured at 3.2% flicker — the same drivers as our standard Firewave. If you want 0% flicker from Meanwell industrial-grade drivers, that's the Firestorm PRO: same five modules, same 1,060W, same panel — upgraded power supplies. The only difference between the two is the drivers.
The wavelengths
Cytochrome c oxidase, the mitochondrial enzyme at the center of photobiomodulation research, has absorption peaks near 630nm, 670nm, and 830nm — so those are the Firestorm's three, the same as our Firewave and Firefly. 630nm works in the dermis (fibroblast activity, collagen production), 670nm reaches slightly deeper, and 830nm near-infrared penetrates centimeters into muscle, joint, and connective tissue. 830nm is invisible to the eye — wear the included blackout goggles every session.

How to use it
Start with 5 minutes and build to 20 minutes per session. Position no closer than 24 inches — this panel's combined output is the highest in our lineup, and 24 inches is where it's designed to be used. For your face: LED mode only, at 24 inches or more. Up to 5 sessions per week.
